Acetyl-L-Carnitine is a modified amino acid that supports cellular energy production by assisting in the transport of fat into the mitochondria where it is oxidized and converted into ATP (chemical energy for the cell). Acetyl L-Carnitine is in a highly bioavailable form of L-Carnitine that can cross the blood-brain barrier, where it exerts an antioxidant effect, helps to maintain healthy cellular energy metabolism and supports brain function.
This nutrient also facilitates the transport of long-chain fatty acids to enable beta-oxidation and energy generation, thus enhancing physical performance. misrepresentation of the real product

I was looking for Acetyl L-Carnitine 1000mg per capsule. On the amazon page the seller describes the product as 60 ct of 1000 mg, but what they DON'T say is that it's 2 capsules per serving, so in reality you only get 30 servings. Had I known this, I wouldn't have ordered because I was specifically looking for 1000mg per capsule (to save on the amount of pills I take per day). I feel like I was cheated because it ended up costing me twice the $$ I thought it would cost. In addition, the capsules that I received have it spelled as "ACEYTL L-CARNITINE" and on the picture it's spelled correctly, so if they can't spell the product name right, it makes me doubt the quality.

Great for beating depression in winter

I have a sort of mild depression where its hard to wake up on winter days. When the days get shorter and I am at my home in Chicago, I feel often times very sad and its hard to get energy. This helps!

Misleading label and product description

The information in the description and on the label leads potential buyers to believe they are buying 60 1000mg pills when in fact you are buying 60 500mg pills. The 1000mg on the front of the bottle and in the title of the product refers to how many mg. you will get if you take 2 pills. I ended up passing over less expensive products with more mg. per pill- so, I paid more and have to take twice as many pills to get the desired dose.
