Green Coffee refers to unroasted coffee beans. Coffee grows on trees and the fruit is a berry. The beans are actually green seeds in the berry. Green Coffee extract (Coffea Arabica) contains a variety of plant constituents, including high amounts of chlorogenic acid and other polyphenols, which research has shown may be responsible for the beneficial activity of Green Coffee. While roasting gives coffee beans a distinctive flavor, color and aroma, chlorogenic acid breaks down when the beans are roasted. In contrast, Green Coffee beans have little aroma and a bitter taste. Really Good Supplement, be aware of additional ingrediants

This is a really good supplement although please be aware it does have other ingredients besides green coffee bean extract. I am very sensitive to stimulants so I did not want to chance it since it has other ingredients like african mango and raspberry ketones. I read an article that suggests taking coffee bean extract in powder form in order to get the most pure form possible.I started taking this brand since it the ingredient label was easy to view online, Svetol Green Coffee Bean Extract Plus + FREE Green Tea Extract Capsules. I'm been taking both for the past few weeks. Some weight loss to report, about 4 pounds, but more importantly it seems to give me an energy boost without any negative side effects which has been the biggest challenge for me. Oh and you also get a free bottle of green tea extract capsules which is nice but I don't plan on taking them until after I'm finished with the green coffee bean extract.If you are interested in trying a mixture of ingredients then I would totally recommend these capsules but if you are sensitive to things like this, I would suggest playing it safe with the powder. I recently purchased Green Coffee extract at a health food store after learning its benefits on Dr Oz. I take one a day and feel more energized and I able to get to the gym. I have lost seven pounds in the last two weeks.
