Red-flavored satisfying snack

This tastes a little like someone removed all of the sugar from a Red Starburst and then smushed it to make it soft. The flavor is clearly Red. It does have a little bit of a chalky-chemical aftertaste, but it's not too bad.My snacking problem is exacerbated by getting hungry while I am in motion. These are really easy to throw in my bag.These are much more substantial than the candy bar I can usually find in a snack machine in the afternoon. A candy bar just doesn't give very much satisfaction and I can be back looking through the glass a half an hour later.

Tastes good but very expensive and questionable effectiveness

I wrote a review of the Sensa Chews Chocolate Fudge, 30 Count and the active ingredients of the berry burst seem to be quite similar. I've pasted chunks of my review below and I'll highlight some of the differences here.The flavor isn't bad at all. It's pleasant and satisfying although quite chewy. They are really, really expensive on the other hand and two of them a day isn't really going to cut it if you're trying to curb your appetite. For the money real food (like carrots or celery) are a much better snacking option!The warnings on the package about choking and drinking with a lot of water etc. are just that: warnings. No reason to be afraid. They're mostly fiber so that goods and two of them will give you you 8% of the recommended daily value with only 30 calories (of which 10 are from fat).If you have allergies watch out. They've got all the stuff that people are allergic to: dairy, nuts and soy. The active ingredients are konjac root, corosolic acid, green tea leaf and maqui berry.Some of the choking risk may come from the konjac root. Same ingredient in the Asian jelly snacks that were pulled off the market a while back. The fiber probably comes from the konjak root.Corosolic acid helps maintain blood sugar levels and it acts a bit like insulin. Green tea leaf and maqui berry are probably is where the antioxidents come from.So overall it seems like a fairly-well formulated product but there's really no way to verify any of the claims and there are some risks because of of the konjac root and allergens present. I'm not a doctor but it's the kind of product I'd talk to my doc about before using.

Actually works

I must admit that I am EXTREMELY surprised that these work for appetite suppression. I have tried many other products in the past, including drinks, pills and snacks. This is honestly the first product that I can say it really does work.Sometimes I eat 2 at a time, mostly because I rather like the taste. Please MAKE SURE to have a drink of water handy because they DO dry your mouth and throat right after eating them. If I eat just one, it isn't as bad, but when I eat 2 I definitely need a bottle of water. The first time I ate 2 I actually started choking because my mouth and throat were so dry immediately after eating them. So please remember to keep some water handy because you WILL need it. There's also a warning on the box about this.The dryness does not last long. Just the first few minutes - less than 5 minutes i'd say. I don't really find it bothersome too much now. I just make sure to have my water with it.When I eat these, I feel full. I have eaten full size weight management snack bars and don't even feel this full. It's like my stomach feels like I just ate a meal.. just a really full feeling, but no bloating. These chews are pretty amazing and push off my appetite for a good 4-6 hours.They taste sort of like Fruit Rollups or similar fruit snacks. Not bad at all.Definitely recommended because they do work. The flavor is an added plus.
